Clear your calendar and clean your wellies! Down on the Farm is back for another unforgettable weekend of music, merriment, and muddy boots! Hosted annually at the award-winning Gwatkin Cider Farm, based at Moorhampton Park Farm in Abbey Dore, from 8th to 10th August, this festival brings rural rhythm to life.
At the festival, you’ll find two stages, over 25 bands, and an atmosphere as bubbly as the cider being poured.
Whether you’re headbanging with Thunderstruck (and electrifying AC/DC tribute), grooving to the antics of King Goon, or dancing with Jammy & The Dodgers, the playlist is as juicy as the freshly pressed fruit. And with acts being announced regularly, keep an eye out for the latest additions to the exciting line-up.
It’s a full-on countryside experience. The farm’s very own handcrafted ciders and perries (made on-site from their own apple and pear orchards) flow freely, alongside real ales, local beers, and an ever-popular gin tent.
And expect an array of food stalls dishing up a menu worth drooling over, all seasoned with good vibes.
The gates open on Friday, with the first band starting the party at 7.45pm. And then it’s midday to midnight on both Saturday and Sunday.
As a small, family-run business, Gwatkin Cider Farm is more than a venue. It’s a working farm with real charm, complete with livestock, a farm shop, and 35 varieties of homebrewed cider and perry. Nestled in the rolling hills of the Golden Valley, it’s a truly magical place.
