Coronavirus (COVID-19)

As we all face a period of uncertainty caused by the COVID-19 virus. The situation is moving fast so we are doing all we can to reduce the risk of disruption to our guests and their travel plans. Therefore, we are still accepting bookings but no deposit will be taken until further notice. Full payment will be taken on the day of arrival. This can be done on check-in, or if you wish (to avoid using the card machine) in the morning, prior to travelling by calling the park directly. Contact details can be found on your booking confirmation emails or in the link below.

Our Parks remain open and fully operational for our guests to enjoy. However, we will continue to follow the travel advice issued by the UK Government through the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO). As the situation evolves, more information is coming out every day so we will continue to monitor the situation and share updates as we have them. For the most up-to-date information consult the gov.uk website on Coronavirus.

All of our (normally very clean) facilities, will be even cleaner with additional cleaning rotas. Guests are welcome to use their own facilities. When visiting our parks, we would ask all our guests and owners to take the following sensible Government Advice:

  • Washing hands regularly. Wash hands for at least 30 seconds and use an alcohol-based hand sanitiser if soap and water is not available. https://www.nhs.uk/live-well/healthy-body/best-way-to-wash-your-hands/
  • Maintain good hygiene practices such as using tissues when coughing or sneezing and disposing of the tissue in a bin.
  • For official advice, consult the NHS website: https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/
  • We have a responsibility to our staff, guests and the rural communities in which we operate. We are trying our best to run our business as usual, providing guests with the opportunity for a break and continuing to trade with small rural operators who rely on us to make a living.
  • We have no reported cases at our locations.
  • We offer tranquil breaks in secluded rural locations in the UK.
  • The very nature of our business means that there can be very little social contact with others.
  • All of our guests travel to our Park in their own vehicles.

  • We are totally committed to ensuring UK tourism has a long-term future.

Due to the exceptional circumstances, we have amended our cancellation policy to include for bookings arriving before the 30th April 2020. If you cancel your payment will be put on hold by our Park Managers, this must be redeemed within 12 months of your original arrival date at any of our Touring Parks. This may only be done once. Failure to redeem your payment in this time frame will result in this amount being forfeited. We advise all customers with arrival dates after 30th April to hang fire on making any cancellations. We will update this page as the situation evolves. For any cancellations made for such dates, our general cancellation policy will still apply. This may be subject to change.

We strongly advice against any guests who are suffering from cold/ flu symptoms from visiting the Parks and ask that they call the Park prior to their arrival date to defer their booking. If on arrival, any Park Managers suspect a customer to be unwell, they may be asked to leave as our customer’s safety is our top priority.

We can appreciate that some customers may not wish to travel, if this is the case and you have a booking with us, we can put your booking on hold for 12 months (of your original arrival date).

Our key priority is always the health and wellbeing of our guests, our staff and their families. We continue to follow Government advice and we are taking our precautionary measures within each of our locations.

If Touring Parks are forced to close to the Public

We must make you aware that emergency legislation has been laid which amongst other measures, will give Government power where necessary to close premises (see under ‘Delaying and slowing the virus’, on this link.

Across Europe, holiday and touring parks are being closed to the public by law (except where they are that person’s usual domicile). Therefore, we are preparing our parks for the possibility of mandatory closure.

We will notify you by email of any closures. All bookings arriving before or on the 30th April 2020 will then be automatically put on hold for 12 months from your original arrival date. You will receive another email within 7 working days detailing how much credit you have on hold and how to redeem this against a future booking.

[We hope you can appreciate that we have been inundated with calls and emails from concerned customers. Every one of you is important but please be assured that we will automatically put all your payment on hold in the event that the parks have to close.]

We thank you for your continued support and understanding in what is an extremely worrying time for everyone and will hopefully look forward to seeing you soon, or some point in the near future.

In uncertain and difficult times, staying connected is more important that ever-you can head over to our Facebook page where we will continue to share updates and inspiring content and encourage interaction amongst our customers/ followers.

From Williams Leisure, our best wishes to you and your family and friends.
